The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post is all about characters that you’d love to switch places. I love that there’s the added clarification of “but not permanently” because, yes, as much as I would love to be these characters for a day or two, usually their lives are upside down and inside and out and I’d probably skip out on having those problems permanently haha!
Welcome back to my second stop of the Ontario Teen Book Fest blog tour! I’m so so excited to have this author back to What A Nerd Girl Says. She is a fabulous writer and an even more fabulous person and I am so grateful to count her as one of my friends. I absolutely loved her debut novel and am counting down the days until I get her sophomore novel in my hands. Robin Reul is returning to OTBF and I know I, for one, am stoked to have her back!
The Sunday Post is a weekly post hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. This is a chance to wrap up the week and share what has happened. Continue on to read about what I’ve read, blogged, watched, listened to, played, written and experienced in the last week. I share any current giveaways or recent interviews! You can also take a peek at what’s to come in the next week!
Camellia Beauregard is a Belle. In the opulent world of Orléans, Belles are revered, for they control Beauty, and Beauty is a commodity coveted above all else. In Orléans, the people are born gray, they are born damned, and only with the help of a Belle and her talents can they transform and be made beautiful.
Today’s Waiting on Wednesday is a novel that I actually having, sitting, waiting for me, on my Kindle, that I haven’t time to read yet but I’m dying to find the time so I can finally read it already – Dealing in Dreams by Lilliam Rivera. I absolutely loved her first novel, The Education of Margot Sanchez and Lilliam is just the best! Today is also my birthday and I only felt it was appropriate to show some love for a fellow Latina badass author, like me (if I do say so myself…)
The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post is all about places in books you’d love to visit. I really love this post – for me, instead of talking about the fictional places I’d love to visit, I’m going to talk about real life places in some of my favorite books that I’d love to visit someday. I’m not a well traveled person so its an easy task to do!
