Nerd Girl’s Take on Book Riot’s 50 Must-Read Contemporary YA Novels of the 2010s!

Just about a week, Book Riot put out a list of their top fifty must read young adult contemporary novels of the 2010s. It is crazy to me that this kind of list is even a thing – because in just a couple months the decade is over! WHAT! And it makes sense that this is a huge topic because the 2010s were definitely the boom of YA literature. Twilight came out in 2005 and really helped to create what YA is now and I love that this past decade has been full of fantastic young adult literature.

Throwback Thursday Review: The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins

The Throwback Thursday review is where I take a book I recently reread and review it with new eyes. It could be a book I’m reading for the second, third, fourth or millionth time. Some books haven’t been read in years so its fun to throwback and see if my opinion has changed!

Just recently, the title for the Hunger Games prequel novel was announced – The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. You can read yesterday’s Waiting on Wednesday for it here. But it got me excited and figured since I was a mini slump with reading, I would try some rereads and ended up rereading the entire trilogy in a matter of days.

Please keep in mind that Throwback Thursday reviews are based on reread books. They most likely will contain spoilers as the books have already been released for some time. This is your only warning if you want to avoid spoilers for these books.

Top Ten Tuesday – Books I’d Give Different Titles To

The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post is all about the books that I’d give different titles to. I really like this one because, well I’m notorious for judging a book by its title. All the time. I often end up reading a book anyway because someone begs me to but a title definitely can turn me off for a long time.
