What A Nerd Girl Says Revamp!

I am so excited to share the brand new What A Nerd Girl Says today!

If you’re reading this in your email or on Tumblr or something, make sure to follow the link to this actual post so that you can see how new and pretty the blog looks!

I’m really proud of how everything looks and I’m excited to see what new ventures will come my way with this blog. The amazing Jenniely designed my new banner and I’m so happy and satisfied with it – this blog needed a revamp so badly and I really like all the changes that were made.

There are a lot of new things that are coming this way – potentially a podcast and new segments and a new offshoot – A Nerd Girl Gets Fit. I’ll be keeping the same familiar feel of the blog because this has always been a passion project, less a project to make myself famous or rich or anything, so I’ll stick with the things that make me happy.

I hope you all will continue sticking with me and I hope you all like the new look! Its scary to make changes and its terrifying to move forward but I’m excited about my new ventures and I hope you are too!

Let me know what you think of the changes in the comments!

After all, the polls are getting closer—and so are Maya and Jamie. Mastering local activism is one thing. Navigating the cross-cultural romance of the century is another thing entirely.

Boyfriend Book Review: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

The Boyfriend Book Review is a recurring column here on What A Nerd Girl Says.  My boyfriend, Daniel (read his bio here), is a reader as well. He suffered from what a lot of male readers suffer from – they only read white men! Well, of course, that didn’t really work with this Nerd Girl and he has been making a journey through my massive YA collection. Now we’ve started this column together, to review books that I’ve most likely already reviewed so that we can get a male perspective on it. We hope you enjoy!

October Young Adult Author Events in Southern California

One thing that I used to do a lot when I first started this blog was post a list of all the events that were happening in Southern California so that people could be aware when their favorite author was coming near. I used to go to SO many events and people were always asking me, how do you know about all of these! Honestly, its a mixture of bookstore newsletters, following authors on social media and so on.

So here’s my monthly post of YA events happening in the month of October:
