The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post is all about my top ten favorite books in my favorite genre, which just so happens to be fantasy. Its funny that for so many years, I avoided fantasy like the plague, other than Harry Potter and Star Wars – it just felt too complicated for me. Now, I have a hard time narrowing this down to just TEN books!

Event Recap and Review – Adventures in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for the Dedication Ceremony!
If you’ve been living under a rock or simply don’t live in California so your entire world doesn’t revolve around the Disneyland Resort, then you may not know that the newest addition to the park – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – has officially opened as of this past Friday.
I’ve been excited about this for FOUR years now, since the announcement that there would be a Star Wars themed land. The closer it got though, the more that it just seemed like it wouldn’t be in the cards for me though. I unfortunately haven’t been able to afford an annual pass in quite some time, and a day ticket is a lot for me. I was counting down the days until opening but I had a feeling that I would not be there.
Waiting on Wednesday (27)
Today’s Waiting on Wednesday post is all about the super anticipated – at least by me – sophomore novel by Alexa Donne, entitled The Stars We Steal. Alexa’s first novel, Brightly Burning, was an awesome sci-fi retelling of Jane Eyre and I loved it so much. I am counting down the days until The Stars We Steal, even though I have to wait SOOO long.
Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Books Books That I Refuse to Let Anyone Borrow
The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post was originally the ten books that you owned that you would not let anyone TOUCH. I modified it a little to do the ten books I refuse to let anyone borrow.
My Abortion Story and Why We Need to Stop the Handmaids Tale Path of Georgia, Alabama and Missouri
Over the past few years, I’ve felt more and more compelled to tell my story. I don’t know that it’ll make a difference but I’m tired of staying silent. I’m not ashamed of the choice I’ve made but it’s been easier to keep quiet for a couple reasons. One, it’s honestly been no one’s business. Two, it was easier to avoid anyone’s judgment. But I’m tired of it. I’m not ashamed.
April Books and Blog Wrap Up and May Goals!
Welcome to my monthly recap, where I recap the previous month and share my reading goals for the next month! I used to just strictly share what books I’d wanted to read and what I’d read but I am trying a new thing where I share all the posts from the month as well, in case you missed anything and want to catch up! Let’s see how this goes.
April was a very slow month for me. I reread a LOT. I just couldn’t get into any books and I was so busy preparing for our move. Now that we are getting settled into the new place, I really want to get back to reading! I think I’m behind on my GoodReads challenge now…
