Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters Meet and Greet and Red Carpet Premiere

I’m pretty sure that was the longest title I’ve ever written as the beginning of a blog post.

So I’ve been really super busy this week and I’ve been trying to keep up with the blog and various related social media pages but I’ve had such a busy, fun week so that didn’t totally work out the way that I wanted to. So I’m trying to make up for that now.

Wednesday, I journeyed down to the Americana at Brand, in Glendale, with my sister, Jessica, my friend Deb and my friend Sylvia (from FanGirlFeeels) to meet the cast of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters at the Barnes and Noble there. We got in line fairly early (oh yes, 5:30 am) to ensure we’d get wristbands, and to try and get wristbands to the advance screening.

Meeting John and Carole Barrowman!

While I was moping and generally feeling sorry for myself last week for missing out on Comic Con, and the chances to meet some of my favorite celebrities and see new trailers for movies like Divergent and all that, I was pretty much doing anything and everything possible to keep myself busy and happy.

Luckily enough, and a huge reason why I was NOT at Comic Con this year, my best friend got married to her boyfriend of 7 years, and myself and my boyfriend were part of the wedding party. I spent Thursday preparing and Friday at a seriously awesome wedding. I had an amazing good time, and I even caught the bouquet, much to my boyfriend’s dismay. It was a great weekend.

WhatANerdGirlSays Comic Con Wrap Up!

This past weekend was the San Diego Comic Con extravaganza in San Diego, California. Comic Con has been going on for over forty years. I have gone before, of course, and this year, I was unable to attend. I was really bummed at this for a very long time, but I was a bridesmaid in my best friend’s wedding, and honestly, it was an amazing time. I caught the bouquet and it was amazing, and I’m incredibly happy for her.

San Diego Comic Con: Day Zero

Since I am unable to attend San Diego Comic Con this year, and I don’t know how available I will be to post about the things I hear from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and various websites because my best friend is getting married tomorrow and I am IN the wedding, I’ve decided to share the posts of one of my best nerd friends, Erin, who runs the blog, That One Geek Girl. She’s at Comic Con alllll weekend and she’s SO similar to me, and she’ll be sharing pictures and posts and her experiences of the week. Check her Day Zero post :D

Young Adult Lit Authors at San Diego Comic Con!

Hey guys :D

So I know that I’m not usually a “newsy” type of blog, but I thought I would share this because my blog is so primarily on young adult literature. There are a TON of YA authors heading out to San Diego CC next weekend and I wanted to share all the different panels and autograph signings that would be going on so that those of you who are going can check it out!

I’m going to try and do these with other big events as well, big conventions or book festivals, even if they are NOT in California.

Book Signings in the USA-July through September 2013

So this took me a really long time so you better appreciate it haha.

I know that I’m often times sharing book tours on the blog, or Facebook or Twitter, but I know that I tend to be biased to California because, well, that’s where I live. So now I’m going to try and be better and post book signings for you guys as well.

Again, this took me a VERY long time. But here you go
