Monday Missions #15…On a Tuesday!

And in blog form instead of vlog!

I was feeling kind of lazy between blogging and working yesterday so I never got to Monday Missions. Now today, look I have dirty hair and I’m kind of sloppy looking after binge reading so I decided that instead of just ignoring the Monday Missions period, health I would do it in blog form.

For those of you who don’t know what the Monday Missions is, treat its a weekly vlog that my dear friend Daisy created on her YouTube channel The Thousand Lives of Daisy. Re-read because I remember not quite enjoying the book the first time I read it but then when I re-read it, I still didn’t quite enjoy it. Its just not one of my favorites by him. They just announced a movie, using the same team as TFiOS and Nat Wolff as Quentin, and John Green as a producer but meh. I’d rather read An Abundance of Katherines.

This book was beautiful. The history and the fantasy of it, the tension. I truly enjoyed it. It’s the Book of the Week tomorrow!

As part of the Fierce Reads Street Team, I was assigned Katie Finn’s novel. I quickly learned that Katie Finn is none other than one of my favorite authors, Morgan Matson, and I zipped through this book. I canNOT wait to share this with you all!

I absolutely fell in love with Brandon Sanderson’s Steelheart this year so its time to get on board with his fantasy writing. And its time to get back on actual fantasy. I feel like I haven’t read some in awhile.

I got this in the mail a few days ago, and I’m excited to read it. It comes out April 1st so I want to read it before it comes out. I’m about 100 pages in and I’m really enjoying it so far. Its so different from what I’ve read from her before. Its so….historical, but also magical at the same time. I am seriously loving it so far.

After seeing the movie in a prescreening, I needed to reread the book. I felt like the movie was really close to the book, and I couldn’t remember if I was close or not. A re-read made me love the movie even more.

I re-read this book too, to really give Cora Carmack a try again. I have “Finding It” too, so maybe I’ll keep going. Its just not quite what I expected. I really liked it until about 75% of the way through. Sigh.

I was looking to see when the sequel of Reboot came out, and noticed that you could download a review copy of Rebel on Edelweiss, and got SUPER excited and busted my way through it.

I’m not super thrilled about this book but Jennifer L. Armentrout tends to surprise me at every turn so I want to give it a chance, even though its not something that I would normally read. I want to have faith in her.

When I read this book awhile back, it really didn’t jump out at me, not like An Abundance of Katherines or Will Grayson, Will Grayson, etc. But that was awhile ago and with the announcement of John Green’s appearance at the Festival of Books, I really want to re-read it and give it a chance that maybe I didn’t in the past.

At the urging of my friend, Michelle, I finally picked up this book and read it, and seriously enjoyed it. I want to read the rest of the series but I have such a high pile of TBR so I’m not sure when I’ll get to it :/

I picked this up because she did an online launch party/chat thing with Jessica Brody and I read it in about four hours last night, staying up til about 4 am to finish it. Its brilliant. A review is coming, I promise!

Sara’s Birthday Haul!

So I’ve been wanting to explore vlogs more and I made a vlog yesterday, visit web talking all about my birthday haul. Because I’m surrounded by awesome people that got me awesome gifts.

And I realized…well, hospital vlogs are kind of fun except for the whole editing and uploading thing.

Also, I’m kind of silly on camera. Like…ridiculously awkward and weird and silly.

But whatever. I think I’m going to try and do them more often. It was kind of fun and you guys can SEE me for once! Won’t that be nice?
