Hello! My name is Sara. I am 34 years old, Mexican-Irish, short, liberal, tattooed, loud, proudly bisexual, and a total cat lady. I love reading, writing, eating cupcakes, watching baseball, listening to music, binging all the good TV stuff and running. I live in Southern California physically but my mind is always in a fictional place. My debut novel, The Awakened, was released in December of 2015, and was my first successful NaNoWriMo novel. The sequel, The Sanctuary was published January 2017. Both books were relaunched in June 2020. My debut new adult romance, Benched, was released in September of 2020.

I am currently working on a young adult fantasy called Legacy and Struck Out, the sequel to Benched.

Trying on my new Alina Starkov kefta from @hottopic. I can't tell whether Kaz approves or not...
Today was my sister, Jessica's baby shower! It was so much and my mom and auntie kicked some serious ass with everything - it was a beautiful shower. I can't believe that in just two months, my niece will be here and I'll be Tia Sara. I'm counting down the days - I can't wait!
TODAY'S THE DAY!!! Season 2 of Shadow and Bone is here and I am BEYOND excited to watch it. I literally took the entire day off so that I could sit and binge it. I love love love season 1 and am so hopeful for season 2. I love that Leigh is so involved and that the creators love the original material and I truly believe we have the best cast. If you can't reach me today - this is why!
I have roughly a million photos on my IG stories but for here...I have to share my favorite. Everyone knows that Kaz Brekker is easily one of my favorite fictional characters ever - I named my cat Kaz! I have absolutely loved Freddy Carter's portrayal of Kaz in the @shadowandbone show; they truly could not have cast anyone else - he looks perfect and he embodies the character so much. I had ONE goal for the premiere yesterday - meet Freddy. Anything else would just be the cherry on top. And I got to meet him, got him to sign my book, showed him my Crows tattoo and even got to tell him all about my little kitty, Kaz. It was one of the best moments ever.
I have about a trillion more photos but I'll have to share them once I have some sleep in me. What a truly epic night. I got to hang out with my besties, meet the cast of one of my favorite shows, see the first episode of @shadowandbone season 2 and attend the BEST premiere I've ever been to. Seriously, @netflix - you truly outdid any premiere I've ever been to and I've been to a LOT. This premiere catered to the fans and I had fun from beginning to end. What a truly fun and epic night. I'm on cloud nine. I will not forget this night anytime soon. And I can't WAIT to watch the rest of season 2 next week!
Eleven. Months. Married.
