Yeah, I said Quidditch.
For all you Muggles out there, there is a version of Quidditch that is played in our world.
No, we don’t fly. I’m sorry to disappoint you.

Recently, Bloomsbury-publisher of the Harry Potter series-announced that they would released a three book box set in fall 2012.
Now, of course, Potterheads everywhere went nuts. With the book series finished in 2007 and the movies series finished just last summer, we’re dying to keep the magic alive with some new releases, anticipation and excitement. Pottermore had its moments: I loved getting a wand, getting sorted and learning some extra information, especially the McGonagall back story. But lets get real, after an insanely long beta period and only Philosopher/Sorcerer’s Stone available, Pottermore turned out to be kind of a disappointment.
So last night, my best friend, my little sister and I journeyed down the 101 freeway to Sunset Blvd to the House of Blues in Los Angeles to see Team Starkid perform on their summer Apocalyptour! Continue reading
Happy Geek Pride Day everyone!
My dad texted me this morning to let me know that it was geek pride day and all I could think of was…isn’t that every day?
I guess that’s only for me!
And maybe you too!
So my goal of the summer, besides having a wicked awesome time before being literally buried underneath homework at CSUF in the fall, is to buy a new car.
I love my current car, especially with all her nerd stickers, but its time to move on. And as I’ve been perusing autotrader, trying to figure out what car I want, I’ve been thinking of all the different modes of transportation in all the fandoms I’m obsessed with.
And then I came up with a list. A list of my top 8 most wanted fictional modes of transportation.
So I had a blog post all written out as my FIRST blog post.
And then I realized that it was kind of a silly way to jump into a blog…like, let’s just start talking before anyone actually knows who you are!
It’s okay I’m kind of weird like that.
So to begin, my name is Sara and I’m self-proclaimed, clinically-obsessed, super-proud nerd and it only took me over two decades to admit that :)
The biggest thing you’ve got to know about me is I like to read. Reading is what gets me into movies and TV shows and all of that.
The second thing that you really have to know about me is that I love to write, mostly fiction but basically anything. I love to hear myself talk…in the form of words…
And the third and last thing you really need to know about me is that I am a nerd, a fan girl, and when I like something, boy, do I like it.
These three things combined equals this: whatanerdgirlsays, this blog, which will serve basically as a fun time for me to ramble on about books and movies and TV shows and who knows what else will pop up in my tiny little head.
I mean, I love so many things: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pokemon, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Once Upon a Time, fantasy books, comic books, Disney and Pixar, and much much more.
So welcome to my blog and welcome to the silliness.
Hopefully you can handle it…
Oh yeah and I’ve met Tom Felton. Boom!
