Clockwork Princess Cover Reveal!

A few days ago,  I posted about the things I was most looking forward to in the remaining months of 2012. One of those things happened to the third and last books of the Infernal Devices trilogy, Clockwork Princess. I posted a fan made cover of the book because there hadn’t been a released cover yet.

Today, I would love to inform you and share with you the official cover of Clockwork Princess.

Insert little fangirl scream. Actually, insert HUGE fangirl scream.

It looks awesome and even better than I imagined. I seriously cannot wait til this book comes out. I was expecting it to come out in December of this year but was postponed until March 2013.

The basic synopsis is this: Tessa Gray, a young girl in the Victorian age, comes away from America to London to meet up with her brother, Nate. Instead of Nate meeting her, however, she is kidnapped by the Dark Sisters. It is soon revealed that the world is not as she knows it, and she learns that she has a very strong power to shape-shift into anyone as long as she is holding an object belonging to that person. When she is rescued by Will and Jem (both extremely attractive Shadowhunters, humans with angel blood who fight demons and rogue Downworlders-vampires, warlocks, faery), she gets swept up into their world. While she deals with a family betrayal, corrupt politics, two very attractive boys to choose from, and a madmen with a pretty scary army, she tries to fit in and figure exactly who she is and where she came from.

Now, the book series has almost come to an end, and like any middle book of a trilogy, it leaves a lot hanging. There are so many questions and I’m hoping that Clockwork Princess answers those questions. I love the cover because it shows Tessa looking so pretty, and a book can sometimes reveal a lot. I love the open book, could it be the Shadowhunter codex? Or maybe its a metaphor for the knowledge Tessa will finally gain on who she really is? Or is it just referring to her deep love for books? Who knows, but I can’t wait to find out!

Either way, I’m super happy about this cover and I cannot wait til it comes out.

If you have not read any of Cassandra Clare’s books (which seriously is a travesty!), I recommend taking a trip down to Amazon where you can pick up her books, for fairly cheap:

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS

City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass
City of Fallen Angels
City of Lost Souls
City of Heavenly Fire (to be released Sept. 2014 TOO FAR AWAY)

and THE INFERNAL DEVICES

Clockwork Angel
Clockwork Prince
Clockwork Princess (Mar. 2013)

Also, for all my California nerds, it is planned for Cassandra to write a Shadowhunter series in our very own Los Angeles. Insert more fangirl squeals!!!!

For all my fellow Shadowhunters (or Downworlders, if you wish), what do you think?! As always, let me know, in the comments :)
