One of the authors I was privileged to meet at WonderCon was Jessica Brody, author of several young adult novels, the most recent of which is Unremembered.
I had already started the book when I met her but hadn’t gotten more than halfway through it. After meeting her, I was determined to go home and finish it, because she was a sweet author with wonderful insights and great writing advice.
I stayed up late Tuesday night, finishing the book and here it is for you all, my review of the first installment in the Unremembered Trilogy:
So, back in December of 2012, songwriter and singer Beth Crowley wrote a song that she said was inspired by The Mortal Instruments, and Clary’s journey through the books.
I have never heard of this ever, until today, when it was reported on one of my favorite blogs, TMI Source.
So one of the best parts of running this blog is meeting new people. I’ve met a ton of new friends who are fans of the similar fandoms of me, I’ve met people with writing goals like me and I’ve met a ton of nerd girl bloggers that are seriously awesome.
And I thought, hey,why not do some blog swaps? Why not help each other out?
So here is the first of some of the blog swaps I’ve started.
Megan is from The Nerdy Girlie, specializing in fandoms like Doctor Who, Firefly, Sherlock, Chuck and more. She also knows her way around San Diego Comic Con. Check it out below!
So this was one of my first blog posts way back in May of 2012, when I first started my blog.
The reason that I’m doing it again is this: when I first started my blog, I had about 15 followers, that were mostly my friends and family, and most of my friends and family were just like, “Okay, Sara, we’ll follow your blog but we don’t really get it…” Now, I have a lot more followers, and I’ve met more girl bloggers and I’ve really expanded myself out there. More people are coming to WhatANerdGirlSays than before.
NOTE: There are some people on Twitter, taking credit for writing this blog post, and sharing it with Cassie on twitter. Honestly, I’m trying not to be upset about it, but it does upset me. I work very hard on this blog and everything on here is written by me, unless otherwise specified.
