Thanks to my friend, Tanya, for that name. Its a badass way to describe what I’m about to talk about.
Here’s the thing:
It took me a long to come to terms with who I am: as a person, as a writer, as a daughter, as a sister, as a friend, as a girlfriend, as a complete nerd and as a bisexual. All of those things were hard.
And its going to sound crazy, but that hardest one was embracing the nerd in me.
Today in my children’s literature class, we had a lecture on young adult literature.
And it was really super interesting.
We all know how much I love YA literature. This is beyond obvious.
So the class today was really informative and one that I definitely am glad that I didn’t miss.
It isn’t even Tuesday yet but I’m bursting with nerdy and fandom awesomeness. In just the last two days, I’ve experienced some super exciting things! There is just always so much going on and so much excitement.
I think that’s one of the best things about being a nerd, is being able to get excited about new movies and new shows and all that. It keeps life exciting.
You know, I’ve always known that I love books. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved books. I’ve been receiving books as presents from family and friends for as long as I can remember. I seriously would rather get a book or a gift certificate for books than anything else. I’ve always known.
Just recently I started going through my books and I realized just as much I really do own. Its insane!
And that’s just a sampling of all the books that I own. So I told myself, since I have a tiny room and there isn’t a whole lot of room in my house to begin with, I would cut back on buying books.
Yeah, I think that lasted about a couple days…
I LOVE BOOKS.
I recently bought a book and finished it fairly quickly, because I enjoyed it so much so it is this week’s Book of the Week.
Sorrrrrry guys, my Tuesday Three post is going to barely make it into the actual hours of Tuesday haha.
I was watching the presidential election. I literally was biting my nails down to basically nothing, watching the election.
Obama won :D And I’m happy. And I will leave it at that.

Yes. Oh, yes. I went there guys. I definitely went there.
I got my sixth nerd tattoo. I so went there. I have 4 Harry Potter tattoos (one of them is half HP and half Something Corporate) and a Star Wars tattoo.
And today, I got my sixth tattoo.
I got my Mortal Instruments tattoo today. I got my Shadowhunter rune, Fearless.
