Title: Infinity Son
Author: Adam Silvera – His Website
Published By: Simon & Schuster Children’s UK
Publishing Date: January 14th 2020
Pages: 368
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy
Summary:
Balancing epic and intensely personal stakes, bestselling author Adam Silvera’s Infinity Son is a gritty, fast-paced adventure about two brothers caught up in a magical war generations in the making.
Growing up in New York, brothers Emil and Brighton always idolized the Spell Walkers—a vigilante group sworn to rid the world of specters. While the Spell Walkers and other celestials are born with powers, specters take them, violently stealing the essence of endangered magical creatures.
Brighton wishes he had a power so he could join the fray. Emil just wants the fighting to stop. The cycle of violence has taken a toll, making it harder for anyone with a power to live peacefully and openly. In this climate of fear, a gang of specters has been growing bolder by the day.
Then, in a brawl after a protest, Emil manifests a power of his own—one that puts him right at the heart of the conflict and sets him up to be the heroic Spell Walker Brighton always wanted to be.
Brotherhood, love, and loyalty will be put to the test, and no one will escape the fight unscathed.

Why I’m Waiting:
I adore the heck out of Adam Silvera. I loved the first contemporary novel I read by him and then I met him at YallWest one year and we talked about Hamilton and he wrote a Hamilton quote in my book when he signed it. I’ve read every book since and I’ve loved them. When Adam announced he was working on a fantasy novel, I was so in. When he talked about how Cassandra Clare and City of Bones inspired me, I was even more in. I have the ARC, I keep going to read it but I’m not in the mood for fantasy. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not insanely excited for it because I have a feeling its going to be absolutely amazing. I have watched him work so hard on this book through his social media posts and I have a feeling that its going to be a great fantasy debut.
