Waiting on Wednesday {52}

This week’s Waiting on Wednesday is Skyhunter by the wonderful, fantastic, awesome, auto-buy author, Marie Lu. I LOVE Marie, as an author and as a person and I own every single one of her books because I basically can’t function as a human being without having read all of her books. When she announced this book, I was SO excited and the cover is AMAZING! I’m actually currently on the Street Team for the book and am SO stoked to share the official trailer below too!

A broken world.
An overwhelming evil.
A team of warriors ready to strike back.

Talin is a Striker, a member of an elite fighting force that stands as the last defense for the only free nation in the world: Mara.

A refugee, Talin knows firsthand the horrors of the Federation, a world-dominating war machine responsible for destroying nation after nation with its terrifying army of mutant beasts known only as Ghosts.

But when a mysterious prisoner is brought from the front to Mara’s capital, Talin senses there’s more to him than meets the eye. Is he a spy from the Federation? What secrets is he hiding?

Only one thing is clear: Talin is ready to fight to the death alongside her fellow Strikers for the only homeland she has left . . . with or without the boy who might just be the weapon to save—or destroy—them all.

Like I mentioned earlier – I love Marie. Since the moment I devoured the first two Legend novels back in 2013 and met Marie for the first time that same year, I was hooked. She’s an absolutely lovely person who has been nothing but super nice to me and I really appreciate that.  Plus I just love her books so much – the fact that she just announced that Warcross is going to be a movie? TV show? is just absolutely wonderful. This book was a sort of surprise, HEY, this book is coming out! It sounds so great, the cover is gorgeous as all hell and, okay, I’m not technically waiting since I have my grabby hands on an eARC but I’m still waiting because I can’t wait to get a physical copy to add to my ever growing Lu collection. I’ve started reading the first few pages of the novel and it starts STRONG. It just jumps in and I’m here for it. I’m excited to be a part of the street team, to spread the word, because this book is going to be so great. I hope I have some time to read it soon – I’ve been occupied with my own release – but I’m excited. Talin sounds like another kickass character like June and Emika. If my excitement hasn’t sold you – definitely check out the official trailer. It debuted Monday – I know, I’m behind – but you can check it out below if you haven’t already!
