Sneak Peek of My New Novel

So I know that I’ve been REALLY super busy lately and not writing as much as I usually do and I SUPER apologize for that guys, I truly do.

I’ve just been so busy! Its summer vacation and I had all these graduations and Jon (the boyfriend) is out of work and school right now so we’ve being doing a lot and its just been a crazy summer.

But the biggest thing that I am focusing on this summer is my newest novel about a young adult (age 21, not a teen) who lives in a town obsessed with baseball and the sort of drama that ensues. Romance, sports, what more could you need?

Blogger Spotlight-Jackie from Seeking Bazinga

One of the best parts about running this blog is having the ability to meet some really cool people, and some of the coolest people that I have met have led me to really cool blogs. I’ve said it before, no one’s blog is 100% original but everyone’s voices are different so there are blogs that I love to read because I love the writer, and I love the passion that they show for what they are writing. They are fun and interesting to read and they inspire me to get better and better in my blog.

Exclusive Interview with Author Tammara Webber!

Today I am here to introduce you to one of my absolute favorite contemporary young adult/new adult authors, more about Tammara Webber.

I first discovered Tammara Webber about a year ago when I was looking for something new to read on my Kindle and I needed something that was a little cheaper. Tammara’s book, Between the Lines, popped up and I was intrigued by it. It was only a couple dollars (and remains so, and the paperback is only 8.99) and so I decided to check it out.

Book of the Week-Struck

I am really excited to share this week’s Book of the Week with you guys today.

I first met Jennifer Bosworth at the Ontario Teen Book Fest in May and I was really impressed by her. One, she’s absolutely gorgeous and tall and totally stood out but in a totally good way. But she made a mention, while talking about her book, about her beliefs (or nonbeliefs) and how they came across in her novel.

And that really intrigued me, it made me think that her book was going to be good, and that it was going to be different from anything else that I’ve read recently in the young adult genre.

Unfavorable Characters-And Why I Like Them

So I was talking with some of my friends the other night about books, of course, because that’s seriously what we do ALL the time (I’m looking at you, Tatiana, Sylvia, Paulina, Megan and Gabby) and we started talking about City of Bones because Paulina is reading it for the first time. (I know, right? Sigh, at least she’s reading it now! Haha) She had already kind of started liking different characters and we were talking about that and I mentioned that my favorite TMI character, besides Jace Wayland (because we all know how I get about Jace Wayland) is Alec Lightwood.

And that started a discussion on the likability of Alec. I seemed to be the only person that really actually liked him. For the most part, there were negative comments about Alec. Its not that they didn’t like him; they just weren’t particularly fond of him. They said he was pompous, and mean and things like that. And they aren’t really wrong. But…I love Alec, and probably for those reasons. And I usually get a sort of incredulous reaction when I express how much I really love Alec.

Tuesday Top Ten-Belated Father’s Day Edition

Okay, visit so I logged into WordPress today to start writing the Tuesday Top Ten, and whoa, its all different. Not hugely different, just vamped up a little bit. So I am momentarily distracted by the new prettiness that is my dashboard…its just so shiny and new…

Moving on, today’s Tuesday Top Ten is a little special. Last month, when it was Mother’s Day, my dear friend Gabby from iFandoms Collide went to an author event where Alyson Noel, Tahereh Mafi, Marie Lu, Kami Garcia, Ransom Riggs, and Margaret Stohl were and asked them who their favorite fictional mothers are. Of course, myself, Tatiana, Gabby, Megan and Sylvia had to jump in and say who our own fave fictional mothers were.
