Blogger Spotlight-Erin from MEReadALot

One of the best parts about running this blog is having the ability to meet some really cool people, and some of the coolest people that I have met have led me to really cool blogs. I’ve said it before, no one’s blog is 100% original but everyone’s voices are different so there are blogs that I love to read because I love the writer, and I love the passion that they show for what they are writing. They are fun and interesting to read and they inspire me to get better and better in my blog.

So I decided to do a feature (inspired by Megan at the Nerdy Girlie’s Geek Girls Gab), where I profile the bloggers that I love. Not only do I get to find out more about them, but I also get to share them with you guys! Most of the bloggers that I follow are like me, nerd girls, fan girls and they enjoy the same things as me, and you! Every blogger that I profile is one that is super important to me and I urge you to check them out!

If you are interested in being featured on the Blogger Spotlight, feel free to contact me, please! I would love to hear from you, to feature you on the blog and to help spread the word about it!

My friend Brandi and Me with Jared Leto after a 30 seconds to Mars show.

Sara: Tell me a Little Bit About Yourself:

Erin: My name is Erin and I’m from Michigan and I’m of an indeterminate age. :D

Uh, I guess I’ve always been a fan girl of sorts. I started making websites for bands that I liked when I was 14 and I really haven’t stopped since. The one “fan site” of mine that stuck is http://www.killhannah.net, though I haven’t really updated that in a couple of years because 1.) They’re on a hiatus and 2.) I’m the webmaster for their official site (yes, being a dedicated fan girl will get you somewhere sometimes. ;D)

You know, as I was writing my answers to the questions for this blogger spotlight and looking for pictures, I finally realized I’m a serious fangirl.

My real Hello Kitty tattoo and my temporary Hunger Games tattoo. (Sara: I am SO into the fact that Erin has a  Hello Kitty tattoo!)

Sara: Tell me about your blog:

Erin: It’s called Mel, Erin & Regina Read A Lot. It started out with just me and my brother’s fiancee, Melanie, and then our friend Regina joined us. If you haven’t figured out by now, it’s a book blog with reviews, author interviews etc. ;)

Sara: What inspired you to start your blog?

Erin: Melanie and I read, A LOT (dur) and we we were beginning to not be able to afford our reading habit. I told Melanie late last year that we should start reviewing books because we can get ARCs to read in exchange for reviews lol..so we thought about it..and eventually MEReadALot was born. ;)

Sara: What is your favorite nerd memory?

Erin: Hm, one would have to be when I was reading the liner notes to Kill Hannah’s major label debut, For Never & Ever, and seeing my name in the thank yous. Also again a few years later when reading my FULL name in the Thank Yous in the liner notes for Wake Up The Sleepers..and recently I nerded out when an author acknowledged me in her last book. ;D

The most hilarious nerd moment(s) I’ve had are when I got my first Edward Cardboard Cutout and I took him EVERYWHERE. I have tons of hilarious photos from his outing..he went to my brother’s house, to my job, and as you noticed above, he even goes on vacation with me.
One of the greatest Cardboard Cullen moments EVER:

Sara: What are you most looking forward to, as far as new books/movies/etc?

Erin:  Now that Obsidian has been optioned for a movie, I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT.

I also can’t wait for 50 shades of Grey. Today it was announced that Charlie Hunnam was cast as Mr. Grey. I don’t know how to feel about this… as I would’ve liked to have seen Matt Bomer or Henry Cavill as Christian Grey..But oh well. ;) I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Sara: As my blog is mostly about books and reading, what are some of your favorite books or authors to read?

Erin:  Anything by Kristen Ashley. She writes the best f*ckin’ alpha males. If you haven’t read her Rock Chick series, YOU HAVE TO. It’s entertaining as hell and has some amazing characters.
Anything by Jennifer L. Armentrout, The Grab Your Pole series by Jenn Cooksey, That Boy and That Wedding (I cannot wait for the next book, That Baby) by Jillian Dodd, Alice Clayton (her books are freaking HILARIOUS), I could go on and on..why don’t you just look at my read list on Goodreads. I can read between 1-2 books a day, depending on what’s going on that day…so I love many, many books. :)

Some fellow KH fans/friends Alicia, Ariel and Me with Greg Corner, the bass player from Kill Hannah.

Sara: What are some of your favorite blogs to follow?

Erin: Uh, yours? Hahaha. Hmm…

Reading Books Like A Boss, Tyhada Readers, Meredith Rae Musings, Read Sleep Repeat, The Bookish Babes.

Sara: Who is your fictional crush (what, we’re nerd girls, we all have one!)

Erin: Daemon Black, Archer (Did he have a last name? LOL), Tristian Daniels, Dante Walker, Jace Wayland/Morgenstern/Herondale, The Ferro Brothers from the HM Ward books, The entire Hot Bunch from the Rock Chick series, Tate Jackson from Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley…The list goes on… and on… and on…

Me and my friend Meghan (who will be doing some stalking of the RPattz kind with me when I visit her in LA in October) with the lead singer, Mat, from the band Kill Hannah.
