So I need your help.
All of you!
Yes, I’m talking to you, Shadowhunters, fans of the Mortal Instruments series and the Infernal Devices.
Its no secret that I am a HUGE Shadowhunter. It is one of my biggest fandoms, after Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Doctor Who. I am obsessed with those books, and with the upcoming movie, and the art work and the fanmade merchandise and all of that. I have posters all over my room, all of my books are signed by Cassandra Clare, as well as a copy of City of Bones signed by Jamie Campbell Bower, Lily Collins, Kevin Zegers and Harald Zwart.
But my proudest accomplishment, if you will, is my ink. My Mortal Instruments ink.
For those of you who don’t know, and if you’re a TMI/TID fan, you should know!-this is the Fearless rune that Clary Fray creates in City of Ashes when she’s trying to prove that she can create new runes. I have a whole post on why I got it, and you can read it HERE.
I’ve had the awesome chance to show some cool people my tattoo, like Cassie:

And while that is fantastic and I’ve had some amazing experiences with that…what I would really, really like to do is meet another Shadowhunters, other TMI/TID fans who have tattoos as well. One, I’d like to do an entire blog post on us, talking about our tattoos and why we got them and whatnot. But I also just want to meet people who obviously love this franchise enough to get it permanently inked on my body, just like me.
So that’s what I need your help with guys. I need you to pass this along to your friends, share it on Twitter and Facebook, whatever…I would really really really LOVE to meet more TMI/TID fans, of course, but I’m especially looking for those who have tattoos. So help me out guys :) and pass this along. Tell your friends, especially if you know someone with a Shadowhunter tattoo.

I have the strength rune tattooed on my neck and I am planning on getting other ones since this series is one of ny absolute favorite.
I’m actually planning on getting a few runes as tattoos: an strength as one to remember that nothing can hurt me and that I’m stronger than others realize; fearless to remind myself that there is nothing to be afraid of; and fortitude to combine and enforce the other two runes.
I have one tattoo at the moment: a yellow rose and purple heart with my daughter’s name. I’m also hoping someone can draw another for me: a calla lily wrapped around a celtic cross with my granny’s name. I’m also debating on a quote from Harry Potter – but that requires making my mind up on which. ;)
That’s awesome and good reasoning too :) I looooove tattoos but I always believe there should be a reason behind them. When you get them, please share them! I have 4 Harry Potter tattoos, 1 Star Wars and 1 TMI tattoo and I love fandom tattoos and seeing other people’s :)
hah Okay, you HAVE to show me the Star Wars tattoo. My boyfriend is a huge Star Wars nerd. I’ve been debating on a Triforce tattoo, as well but everyone seems to have that. Maybe one of the ocarina songs instead.
I may get an owl for Athena, also. I love tattoos but it’s really difficult to find a decent artist.

I am a real shadow hunter and I use a glamor to make it so people or humans can’t see them
i love the mortal instrunments! often times i have thought about getting a tatoo, but it wouldnt make me look like a shadow hunter because they hide theirs. And i read somewhere that you should be careful what you put on your body because those are some strong runes. They could kill a mundane-or a person…sorry, remember.
I turned 18 this year and when I get a bit of money I plan to get the permanent runes tattooed in the correct places and possibly some more after that. And yes I realise I’m a guy :P
