Its official! Cassandra Clare has announced her spring tour to promote the release of the final installment of the Infernal Devices series,Clockwork Princess…and she’s coming back to California! I am soooooo excited!
I met Cassie a couple years ago, when City of Fallen Angels came out and she was AWESOME. She did a joint event with Holly Black, and they were both super wonderful and Cassie signed my copies of City of Bones, Ashes, Glass and Fallen Angels and my copy of Clockwork Angel.
Today, I took my final examination for my children’s literature class. I know, I’m really sad about it. I am definitely going to miss this class. Its crazy how I took this class on a whim and it has been one of my favorite clases that I’ve ever taken.
But anyway, one of the questions on the final was to discuss the two different views on using young adult literature in the high school curriculum. Which got me thinking of course.
Its been FOREVER since I’ve done a Book of the Week post. Its been so long that I cannot even remember what book I did for Book of the Week.
I’m also doing Book of the Week on a Monday instead of a Friday.

Today, I’m here to talk to you about love. Yes, love. I’m talking kisses and hugs, and forever, and all that stuff. Love. True Love.
Now, I’m not going to sit here and claim that I know everything about love, because I definitely do not. I love my boyfriend sooooo much and we have been together for nearly five years. But we learn every day how to make our relationship work and how to make it better. And it’s not easy, but it is most definitely worth it. I will never know 100% about love…or even a 100% about my boyfriend…but that’s the best part, it keeps things new and, like I said, its completely worth it.
Clockwork Princess,the third and final installment in Cassandra Clare’s Infernal Devices series, will come out in bookstores in March of this coming year. The Infernal Devices series takes place about a hundred years before the Mortal Instruments series (though TMI came out first) and follows the story of Tessa, a Downworlder, and her friends Will and Jem, both Shadowhunters.
So the Book of the Week post is a little late this week.
Sometimes things happen you know. And I think I’ve been feeding you all some seriously awesome posts lately. I added an anime contributor, Hobie, and a comics contributor, Tabitha, and its been rad.
Our darling Jackie was up for Book of the Week this week but she’s been very busy taking care of her mom. Her mom has been pretty sick, in and out of the hospital and Jackie has been a rockstar daughter, taking care of her. Her mom is doing pretty well right now, after some surgery, so that’s great and I hope we all can send some good thoughts or prayers, if that’s your thing, or whatever her way :D
She definitely deserves them all.
