Tuesday Top Ten-Books for Fun!

For some reason, I feel like its been FOREVER since I wrote a Tuesday Top Ten, and its only been two weeks since my brother totally wrote last week’s. But I feel like its been SO long! I have been SO immensely busy the last few weeks, what with the end of school, and finals, and my boyfriend graduated college and so it was busy.

And then when I did finally have free time, I was SO lazy and didn’t want to write anything haha. I was like, school is over and I’m not writing ever again :) And I need to catch up on my reading! I have SO many books piling up, unread, because I’ve been busy with other things.

But I’m back :D Ready to rock your world as always.

Tuesday Top Ten-Fictional Places to Live

Hello everyone! How’s it going? I hope you are all fantastic and happy and all that.

I’m pretty happy. Things have been…just really good lately. I’ve been really working my butt off to do things that I want to do. I am almost done with this semester of school and I feel that I did well in both of my classes. I am working on this blog harder than ever, working on getting it out there, getting my hands on ARCs and getting interviews with authors, and making it as awesome as possible for you guys that read it. I’m also working hard on my third novel, the novel that I really want to be good and successful, because I want to look for an agent this summer and maybe get my book sold :)

Its also going to be my blog’s one year birthday on Thursday, which is SO exciting and I can’t wait to share the super AWESOME giveaway that will be coming your way in celebration of it all.

I also have a really cool interview with Unremembered author, Jessica Brody, coming VERY soon :)

So things are doing good.

But now on to the purpose of this blog post: The Tuesday Top Ten!

Tuesday Top Ten-Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Series

Well, medicine that was quite a mouthful of a title. I did try to slim it down a bit but I’m afraid it just wasn’t going to happen. So I am afraid we are stuck with this extremely long title. Sigh. Oh well. Sometimes, you know, things just happen.

So I’m actually writing this on Monday night, so its ready to post for tomorrow, because tomorrow is a BIG, BIG day, in the words of one Effie Trinket. Tomorrow, me and my iFandoms Collide girls are heading down to the Star Trek Into Darkness premiere tomorrow and I’m going to be a busy girl all day.

So I had to be responsible and do all my homework first. And now I’m being doubly responsible and finishing this so I don’t get behind!

Tuesday Top Ten-Favorite Sidekicks

One thing that I have always noticed about reading books is that the main character always seems to be a super awesome best friend…like a best friend that goes along with their crazy schemes and risks their life for them, is a shoulder to cry on but makes them laugh when situations seem absolutely unlaughable. Best friends are amazing.

In Sarah Dessen’s book “Someone Like You”, there’s a quote that says,”Life is an awful, ugly place to not have a best friend.”

Tuesday Top Ten-Contemporary Young Adult Novels

So….you know, I spend most of my blog posts, including my Tuesday Top Tens and my Book of the Weeks talking about books that have some sort of fantasy or paranormal or dystopian…some kind of surrealistic feel to them. That’s just the kind of novels that I gravitate to.

But I’m a reader, first and foremost, and that’s what my blog is mostly about: books. And I’m also just a big fan of young adult novels, period. So I decided to dedicate my entire Tuesday Top Ten to those contemporary, non-fantasy young adult novels and authors that I love so much.

Sure, I could talk about Harry Potter and Mortal Instruments and Divergent and Delirium and Gemma Doyle and all of those over and over and over again, but let’s try something new.

Let’s break out of the box a little.

So here’s this week’s Tuesday Top Ten:

Tuesday Top Ten-Favorite Baseball Movies

Okay,so for those of you who know me, you know that my biggest obsession in this world is Harry Potter. I am straight up addicted to Harry Potter.

My second obsession would be just books in general.

My third obsession is that beautiful sport, baseball.

I know, random, right? I LOVE baseball. I love everything about baseball. I love the game, I love the atmosphere, I love my team, the Los Angeles Angels. I love baseball.
