I so agree with you on that. I get a lot of book events in L.A. but in doing this, I see all these events happening other places, and I’m like “I WANT TO GO!” And I’m glad to see someone checked this out. This takes a TON of time and effort haha
I bet!!! I really want to go to the one in Santa Rosa, but I’m all the way down near San Diego and I can’t afford the gas money to drive all the way up there. But man oh man I want to meet those authors… Grr!
Is that the one with Kami Garcia and Tahereh Mafi and all them? I so want to do that too! Its like a five hour drive or something. I just drove four hours for Rae Carson in Vegas but I can’t do it again haha. My dad will KILL me. But I’ll be down in San Diego at the end of October!
I don’t even recognize any of the authors, if we’re talking about the Fierce Reads Tour on the 29th, but I’d go if you’re there! At least I’d have someone to be confused with xD
And yeah the one with Tahereh Mafi and all the others :) It’d be like a 9-10 hour drive, plus then an overnight stay… Yeah I don’t have that kind of cash. That’s okay though – San Diego or LA can totally work for me!
Yeah I SO want to go to that one too! Kami is doing a signing in LA and San Diego but Tahereh Mafi isn’t at either of those and I’ve never met her! She literally lives here in California and does book signings ALL the time and I have never been able to officially meet her…except when I totally fangirled and word vomited all over her at the TMI premiere. SO embarrassing haha.
As for the Fierce Reads Tour in SD at Mysterious Galaxy, yes I will definitely be there :) That’s only, like, an hour and a half drive so I will be at that one. You should definitely check out Leigh Bardugo and Jessica Brody! They are authors I’ve already read, and met, and I adore them. Leigh writes Shadow and Bone and Jessica Brody writes Unremembered, both great books, especially Shadow and Bone! I haven’t read Ann Aquirre yet or Genn Albin but people tell me they are good so I’m going to check them out before the event.
Oh I’ve been told that Shadow and Bone (that’s the cover with the gray smoky stuff and a castle, right?) is really good, and I keep meaning to buy it! Maybe now I’ll order a copy so I can properly gush over it before I have her sign it ;)

Yes! Definitely read it. Leigh is AMAZING. I fell in love with her before I even read the book because she is SO hilarious, and just, agh, so awesome. I adore her. You’ll love it, its great.
For that event, its most likely a free event, but you gotta get there about an hour early in order to get a good seat. Most Mysterious Galaxy signings are free, so I’d imagine this one is too.
You should definitely go! Book signings are super fun, and Mysterious Galaxy is great. I go to the one in Redondo Beach because that one is closer but they are seriously amazing. I bet they have more signings that you’d be WAY into

Yay! Definitely! I would be happy to meet up. I think “awesomesauce” is a legit compliment haha. And I would LOVE to usher you into the world of book events. I go to them ALL the time. Once you go to one, you can’t stop going.
