Guys, yesterday I got my first official proofs for Benched and they are absolutely gorgeous – truly, I am so happy with them. I feel like I’ve been working on this book for so long that I hardly believed that it would ever be seen in print and getting the proofs yesterday was the best part of a seriously rough day.
I’m so excited that we are just about a month away from the Benched. I have some really fun things planned and I can’t wait to share them soon. In the meantime, I want to celebrate the fact that the book is done and ARCs are out in the world and to do so, I want to share the prologue and first chapter, to hopefully get you hyped for the release.

This week’s Waiting on Wednesday is the sequel to Jennifer L Armentrout’s surprise release this year, From Blood and Ash – A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire. JLA surprise dropped the new adult fantasy romance this year and it totally blew the minds of old fans and a ton of new fans as well. It left off on quite the cliffhanger so I know that I was not the only one to be SO sad that it would take time before the second book came out. Then…another surprise! The wait would be SO much shorter than before! Even still, I’m still sitting here, anxiously awaiting the sequel!

So I decided to do LAST week’s since its been awhile since I’ve done these. Let’s talk about books with COLORS in the title!
What I’ve learned from this is…I don’t read books with colors in the title, apparently LOL
If there is one thing that I’ve learned during covid quarantine, its that I will definitely NOT use all my newfound free time to read. To be fair, I’ve been in a reading slump long before I was forced to stay home, but I just can’t seem to read more than a couple books here and there. But what I HAVE been really great at doing during all this free time – besides working on Benched, which is getting better and better by the minute – is binging a LOT of television.
And I do mean, a lot. A lot of it has been stuff that I’ve already seen before because I have found that when I’m feeling particularly anxious, like during a global pandemic, I tend to prefer watching things I’ve already watched before. So I totally rewatched the entirety of Greek and Avatar the Last Airbender.
But I did decide to finally give some new shows a try and some of these are shows that I’ve had recommended to me in the past, even if the past is just the past couple months lol, and I’m SO glad I gave them a try!
