So today was Day One of the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.
and I SUPER want to talk all about how amazing it was.
I met Cassandra Clare (I know, again…), Veronica Roth and Mr. City of Bones Director himself, Harald Zwart
I also met an amazing amount of fellow Shadowhunters from our Shadowhunter meet up.
So a month ago when I met Cassandra Clare, I also met Sarah Rees Brennan and Maureen Johnson, who are besties with my Cassie. And they all had this great chemistry and you could tell they were super good friends and Sarah and Maureen were just cutting Cassie off all the time and making me laugh and running around like crazy and…
Okay the point is, I totally fell in love with them and so I knew I had to read their books.
Today, on Twitter, Cassandra Clare announced, through Entertainment Weekly, that there will be THREE new books (well, two technically) coming out July 9th, to tie in with the release of the City of Bones movie in August.
For what feels like forever, Divergent fans have been staring at this cover when heading to Amazon to preorder the last installment in Veronica Roth’s Divergent trilogy.
And today she announced that she had BIG news coming for tomorrow. And since its already tomorrow on the East coast (though its not quite tomorrow here in California), she released her BIG news.
The final installment finally has a title!
Are you going to the Festival of Books at USC this Saturday, the 20th? Are you going to see Cassandra Clare because you’re a big Shadowhunter fan?

So I know that WonderCon was a few weeks ago, and I’ve already written all about it but I recently became nerd girl friends with Pamela, who is the founder and writer over at The Mortal Minute blog, all about, you guessed it, The Mortal Instruments (and probably the Infernal Devices as well).
