BIG News! The Awakened is BACK! All the Details Here!

I know, I know, my blogging skills nowadays are totally lacking. I’ve honestly just been SO busy – I’m still working my full time job, I’m trying to keep up with a decent reading schedule, maintain my health and fitness routine, and so on.

But there’s a BIGGER reason on why I haven’t really been blogging much lately and that’s because I’ve been working on something HUGE and something BIG. The something-HUGE won’t be announced until May 23rd, the 8th birthday of this blog (WHAT!). However, I’ve been working really hard on the something-BIG and if you follow me on Instagram at all, you’ve already seen the news!

That doesn’t mean I can’t share it here too!

After nearly two years of being off the market – The Awakened and its sequel, The Sanctuary are being republished on June 16th, 2020 in both paperback and ebook!

Book Review: Well Met by Jen Deluca

All’s faire in love and war for two sworn enemies who indulge in a harmless flirtation in a laugh-out-loud rom-com from debut author, Jen DeLuca.

Emily knew there would be strings attached when she relocated to the small town of Willow Creek, Maryland, for the summer to help her sister recover from an accident, but who could anticipate getting roped into volunteering for the local Renaissance Faire alongside her teenaged niece? Or that the irritating and inscrutable schoolteacher in charge of the volunteers would be so annoying that she finds it impossible to stop thinking about him?

Sara’s Quarantine Playlist

I’m doing the best I can under the insane circumstances of our world right now to stay as on top of blogging as possible but its SOOO hard when I feel like I’m not reading enough things to keep myself blogging as often. I have been listening to a lot of music and it honestly keeps me going when I’m like, please god, I just want to go to Disneyland or the bookstore or to just sit down at a restaurant. I completely agree with the steps being taken but I miss the outside world BIG time.

I had a playlist that I created for my birthday party back in February – which, weirdly, feels like it was about a thousand years ago. I renamed it “Quaran-tunes” because I guess I think I’m clever and changed the songs a bit and that’s pretty much all I’ve been listening to the past month or so. It has a TON of songs on it but here are some of my favorites on there.

You can scroll to the bottom to listen to the entire playlist!

Top Ten Tuesday – Favorite Animated Shows

The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post was not really something that I was into – books that you liked but don’t talk about much. I didn’t think I could even come up with any – I literally blog and ‘gram about books haha.

My family and I, since we can’t spend time together right now, have been texting a lot more and take turns coming up with a top ten prompt for the day and its been kind of awesome. I’m learning a lot about my siblings and dad that I didn’t know before and I’m really close with all of them. The other day my brother suggested top ten animated shows and I thought, okay that’ll work for today!

40 BEFORE 40: WATCHING THE ENTIRE DISNEY ANIMATED CATALOG – THE THIRD SIX MOVIES

For those of you who may not know, I recently came up with a list of 40 things I want to do before I’m 40 years old, which you can read here. I just turned 32 so that’s 8 years to accomplish these things and I think I can do it. One of those things is watching the entire Disney animated catalog from beginning to end, which is a serious undertaking. It has been made SOOOO much easier since the beginning of Disney+ – at least I have access to them now! I’m planning on writing little short reviews in chunks, five to six movies at a time, so hold on tight, let’s do this!

If you’d like to read the reviews for the first six movies, you can do so here – it includes reviews for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Pinocchio, Fantasia, The Reluctant Dragon, Dumbo and Bambi.

The second six can be read here, and includes Saludos Amigos, Victory Through Air Power, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Song of the South and Fun and Fancy Free.

Today, I’m reviewing Melody Time, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Lady and the Tramp!
