Top Ten Tuesday – Books I’d Give Different Titles To

The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post is all about the books that I’d give different titles to. I really like this one because, well I’m notorious for judging a book by its title. All the time. I often end up reading a book anyway because someone begs me to but a title definitely can turn me off for a long time.

One thing I discovered was a documentary called From Fat to Finish Line where a group of 12 individuals who had all gone through immense weight loss participated in a Ragnar Relay race – an approximately 200 mile race that is split between the 12 runners, who each run 3 intervals of the race. Its an incredibly inspiring and amazing documentary that I’ve now watched a million times. Fandom Foodie Friday {7} – Calcifer’s Breakfast from Howl’s Moving Castle

Hello! Welcome to the Fandom Foodie Friday! If there’s one thing that always grabs my attention when I’m reading a new book or watching a TV show or movie, its the FOOD. Whether fictional or real, I often am left wanting to try ALL the foods. The only problem – I’m a terrible cook and an okay baker. So I’m taking recipes created by wonderfully creative people from all over the internet and figuring out if a newbie like me can figure them out!

Today, I made a delicious breakfast cooked by the best fire demon in the land, Calcifer, from my favorite movie of all time, Howl’s Moving Castle.

Throwback Thursday Review: Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin

The Throwback Thursday review is where I take a book I recently reread and review it with new eyes. It could be a book I’m reading for the second, third, fourth or millionth time. Some books haven’t been read in years so its fun to flashback and see if my opinion has changed!

This week’s book is Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin – a book that I read for the first time years ago and reread once every year or so because I do enjoy it. I wanted to tackle it in a throwback review because now I’m older than the main character.

~~~~~~
Please keep in mind that Throwback Thursday reviews are based on reread books. They most likely will contain spoilers as the books have already been released for some time. This is your only warning if you want to avoid spoilers for these books.
What’s on YOUR Bucket List?
I’ve been thinking about bucket lists lately. I’m still pretty young – I’ll be 32 in February. But I feel very aware of age and what sort of things you’re capable of at different ages. Take for example my change in activity and exercise – I’m grateful that this is a change I made in my 30s while my body is still young and not later in life when it might be harder. I may be young but that doesn’t mean I’ll always be capable of all the things I want to do. My Nana is nearly 93 years and looks damn good for her age but she still obviously cannot do a lot of things.
