Thursday Three…But Not.

So this is the Thursday Three because it’s been a long time since I’ve written. I think I’m going to talk about more than three things though….

Its been FOREVER since I’ve written…a whole week! No Book of the Week, no Tuesday Three, nothing. I blame Thanksgiving…the food put me in a writing coma.

Sounds good, yeah?

So I hope all of you in the U.S. had a good Thanksgiving and ate to your heart’s content. I love Thanksgiving, especially since its one of the only times where I can stuff my face with delicious food and no one judges because everyone else is stuffing their face too.

I hope that you guys all were able to score some good deals this last weekend too, between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I also hope you didn’t trample or punch anyone either. Now, I don’t mind these sales, because you can get some good deals. There were a TON of movies and tv shows for sale. I just hate how crazy people get, camping out and pushing and shoving and FIGHTING. Ugh. So gross. Grow up.

Moving on though…

I just recently finished reading The Hobbit again. I haven’t read that book since I was a kid so I was pretty excited to read it again. I think I liked it better this time around than I did when I was a kid. I noticed a lot more to do it than I did the first time around. I’m going to see the first part of the movie at midnight and then LADA‘s book club book of the month is The Hobbit so I’m excited to get all fantasy like and dive into it.

So, just in the last six months or so, I’ve tried to get into the show Supernatural. I watched the first season and I really liked it. Busted it through it in a few weeks. Then the second season took me a couple months…more than a couple months. I could not make it past that second season. I don’t know how many of you are Supernatural fans but my god, that second season was so boring to me. I literally had no interest in it. I finally finished it last night and moved on to season three…watched about three episodes of it. And so far, season three has been so much better. I actually care what is going down in this season so far. If you are a Supernatural fan, please tell me that it stays good or I’m going to be super bummed.

I also started watching Vampire Diaries recently. I noticed that it had been on for four seasons already (well, its in the middle of the fourth season). Now, that’s nothing to sneeze about. I’m sure there are television shows out there that have been on a long time that aren’t good. (Have you seen the recent seasons of Glee…). But something about this show made me curious. I also really like Nina Dobrev, who plays the main character of Elena, because of all her years as Mia on Degrassi. I figured it was on Netflix so why not? I’m about five or six episodes in and I love it so far. Its insanely cheesy, but super addicting. And the eye candy is nice. And I have to say…so far I like Elena better than Bella Swan. Elena finds out Stefan is a vampire and is SCARED and FREAKED OUT, which is a legitimate reaction! So i’m intrigued to see how that goes along.

This Sunday is the midseason finale of the Walking Dead…and to me, its finally getting interesting. The beginning of the season seriously bummed me out but its getting a whole lot better. I mean, geez, all the people dying, and the two groups colliding. That last episode where Merle tortures the hell out of Glen (who shows some badass loyalty and strength) and the Governor is a perverted asshole, who threatens to rape Maggie…man, stuff is finally happening! And now Rick is heading toward the town, to get their people back. I’m looking forward to the midseason finale on Sunday, to see whats going to happen…because they have to leave us hanging and wanting more.

Sunday is ALSO the midseason finale of Once Upon a Time. A lot has been leading up to this. Emma and Snow are stuck in the old world, trying to get home with the help from Mulan Aurora. Cora, Regina’s mom, and Captain Hook want to get into Storybrooke for different reasons: Cora probably wants some mad revenge on Regina and, you know, take ove the world or something. Hook wants revenge on Rumple. David is stuck in a sleeping curse. Cora has control over Aurora…and just when I was starting to like her too. Its all boiling down to this and I just can’t wait to see what happens. God I love this show. This is whole alternate fairy tales in the modern world thing is so damn addicting. I can’t wait to see what’s going on there.

Oh, and guess what? Less than a month until the Doctor Who Christmas special airs…on Christmas, which is awesome. For those of you who haven’t had a chance to check out the trailer (and the seriously adorable Jenna-Louise Coleman who plays the new companion Clara), check it out right here.

Those snowmen, by the way, look scary as hell. Like, should little children be watching this because oh my god, those snowmen are super scary. Jenna Louise is super adorable, I can’t wait to see her as a companion. I’m a little confused but excited. Rose, Martha, Donna and Amy are all from “present time” whereas Clara seems to be from a past time. That should be very, very interesting. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Well, I think I’m done for now. I should be having some exciting things coming up soon, including some video game stuff :) Hope you all have a good weekend!
