Novel Share Saturday {7} – Writer’s Block…Real or Myth?

Novel Share Saturday is the newest in weekly segments on What A Nerd Girl Says. Saturdays are a day to take a break from talking about all the books I’ve read and focus on my other hobby – writing! In this segment, I’ll post excerpts and passages from past, present and future projects, I’ll share short stories and poems, I’ll give advice and answer any questions and so forth. I hope you enjoy!

This week I’m talking about writer’s block. Its one of the biggest problems you face as a writer, whether you’re published or not and I’ve noticed over my years and years of attending various author events and panels that its one of the number one questions that authors get asked about.

Throwback Thursday Review: Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst

The Throwback Thursday review is where I take a book I recently reread and review it with new eyes. It could be a book I’m reading for the second, third, fourth or millionth time. Some books haven’t been read in years so its fun to throwback and see if my opinion has changed!

This week’s book is Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst. I realized I never reviewed it when I originally read it so its being reviewed the second round!

Please keep in mind that Throwback Thursday reviews are based on reread books. They most likely will contain spoilers as the books have already been released for some time. This is your only warning if you want to avoid spoilers for these books.

So I’ve been reading Sarah for so long and I eagerly await her new release every year.

The Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly challenge post previously hosted by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. You can follow along for each weekly post here. This week’s post was originally all about standalone novels that are in need of a sequel. I struggled to come up with ideas but I’m feeling particularly girl power today, as it was just International Women’s Day and it was a wonderful weekend for the release of Captain Marvel.

So today I’m counting down the top ten women characters that I love in fiction to celebrate it all.
