Short N’ Sweet Book Review: The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Welcome to the Short N’ Sweet Book Review! For the almost nine years that I’ve been reviewing books on this blog, I’ve written long, wordy reviews that, let’s be honest, not a lot of people are probably reading. This year I decided to shorten those reviews and get straight to the point – what is this book about, who wrote it, where you can find and a short review on what I loved, liked and maybe thought could be better.

Today’s review features a book with a wedding reception gone wrong, enemies on a honeymoon to Hawaii, lots of Mai Tai and lots of laughs – The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren!

Going Back to Disneyland – Ten Things I Can’t Wait to Do!

I am a Disney fan and have been so since I was a small child. One of my earliest memories is riding in an Autopia car at Disneyland when I was two years old. My dad has worked at the park at various times in my life. I myself worked there in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland during the 60th anniversary of the park. I’ve been a consistent annual passholder since I was seventeen, back in 2005. I love Disneyland. It’s my happy place. The last time I went to the park was in February of last year, just a few days before my birthday, a tradition. I remember choosing not to go the last day the park was open because I was so sure the park would be open again soon and I immediately regretted it as the park has now been closed for over a year now.

Sunset Blvd Just Isn’t Going to Be The Same Anymore…

I have a lot of feelings right now.

I am a Los Angeles girl. Now, okay, I may have been raised and lived in Orange County for most of my life but I am an LA girl at heart. I was born in Whittier and lived in La Habra my entire life, at the northern tip of Orange County. I never felt like an Orange County girl because La Habra really isn’t the same as the rest of the county and its lumped into Los Angeles a lot. Plus I have spent a lot of time in Los Angeles my entire life. I remember cruising down Hollywood Blvd with my dad, eating hot dogs at Pink’s, hanging out with my family at the Observatory, attending many book events at the Grove in LA, going to concerts at the Fonda and the Troubadour, the Viper Room and the long gone House of Blues on Sunset. Los Angeles is home to me.
